Me and my dad, after my 18th.

Welcome!
I am not a runner, or a walker, for that matter. Until I met Kate.
Kate and went to school together and when she mentioned she was starting this team I knew I had to get off the couch and start running. I've joined BC Cancer Foundation's Underwear Affair - a 10K run / 5K walk to uncover cures for cancers below the waist. It?s not only fun, but it fights prostate, colon, and ovarian cancer, among others.
Like many people on the team I've been affected by cancers below the belt.
My father was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was 9. He has now been clean of cancer for 12 years now.
Unfortunately in 1992 my grandmother died of a genetic strain of colon cancer.
What this means is I could very well have the gene for this strain of cancer and it could appear later in my life, or anyone on my mom's side of the family.
So I'm raising money so we can find a cure, for me, my family and everyone else affected by cancers below the belt. So please donate!
