I've created my team; the Pirates of the Nether Regions for the 2011 Underwear Affair for cancers below the waist.

Everyone knows somebody who has had, has lost to, or is battling cancer. Unfortunately over the past three years both of my parents have been deeply affected by it.

My dad died from prostate cancer in 2008, and my mom was diagnosed with stage 3b Ovarian Cancer in September of this year.

My amazing mother has recently beaten this horrible disease and has been declared in remission, but this doesn't erase her months of chemotherapy, nor the the chance of possible reoccurences.

For the past four years, my life has been shaped by cancer, and I have had enough.

Help me fight this horrible disease.

I am captain of the 'Pirates of the Nether Regions", a team with an obvious Pirate theme, on top of the already awesome Underwear theme of this great run!

I am dressing up as a Pirate Captain, and my wonderful friends and teammates are wearing various other piratey costumes

Join us, in costume, to run and raise money for this cause that is so close to my heart
