My name is Kathryn Zeitler, and I will be running the Underwear Affair on July 9th,2011. This is my second time I have run this event. I am once again up for the challenge to run to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation.

Most of the us have had a friend or family member that has been affected by this horrible disease. I have personally lost a Grandmother to Brain Cancer, a Grandfather to Skin Cancer, and early this year my bestfriends father died from Blood Cancer. Just recently, I learned that a new friend that had come into my life in 2010 was diagnosed with Brain Cancer and was told there was no cure. 

Roger Moras,was diagnosed with Brain Cancer on October 4th, 2011. I met Roger in early 2010, when he was installing the cabinets in my new home. There was an instant connection from the first day I met Roger. He reminded me alot of my late Grandfather, both being carpenters. Roger showed excellent work ethic, attention to detail, along with his kind and caring nature is how we instantly became friends. We learned about each others family,work,travels,and we shared with each other, lifes ups and downs. I had often thought of Roger and wondered how he was doing. After asking a co-worker how he was doing, I learned that he had become ill and was in the fight of his life.I was so very sad to hear this, and knew that I wanted to run this years race to raise money on his behalf for the BC Cancer Foundation.
