You have all met Marilyn Pinder, (my cousin) and I think you will agree, she is a remarkable person.  A few months ago her world was turned upside down with the devastating news of "uterine cancer".  Her incredible will and positive attitude as she fights this terrible disease is an inspiration to all of us.

In honour of her strength and her will to continue to fight this challenging disease, I am participatng in a fundraising event called the "Underwear Affair".  The "Underwear Affair" creates awareness, and raises money for below the waist cancers - often referred to as the "taboo" cancers.  The reason they are referred to as "taboo" cancers is because people are often embarrassed to talk about them or worse yet, may not want to see a Doctor to get screened for these types of cancers.

Please join me and help raise funds for devastating yet "hidden" cancers like uterine, ovarian, cervical, bladder, testicular, colorectal, and prostate that may affect you or someone you know.  Together we will show BC there's absolutely no shame in bringing a little awareness to down there-ness!

The BC Cancer Agency is leading the way in uncovering cures and putting these cancers behind us.  With cancer survival rates better than any other province in Canada, the BC Cancer Agency is a model for cancer care and control around the world.

This fundraising effort that I'm doing is for my amazing cousin "Marilyn".  "Go Marilyn, Go!"
