As many of you know I was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer through my annual "check-in" with the doctor.  Currently I am undergoing treatment with a hopeful prognosis for July.  Through this journey I have been overwhelmed with the kindness of others and understanding what is really going on related to cancer research, prevention, and treatment.  I've been looking for a way to participate and give back, so here it is - come out and join our team for a fun day or please pledge ($10, $15, $20 or what you choose) so we can help others.  Prior to my treatment I would have been game for a 10KM run and was weekly running 5KM; for this event it is expected that I will be newly recovered from my treatment so I'm hoping to walk the 5KM and cheer on my friends running the 10KM.

Welcome to my Underwear Affair Personal Page! As you can see, I?ve joined BC Cancer Foundation?s Underwear Affair - a 10K run / 5K walk to uncover cures for cancers below the waist. It?s not only fun, but it fights prostate, colon, and ovarian cancer, among others. I?ll be just one of thousands of people gathered on the streets of Vancouver this summer in the biggest Affair this town has ever seen!

What can you do about it? You can donate to me! Don?t be shy - it?s about giving these devastating cancers some exposure and shedding some light on their cures. So please help me in my effort to raise money for care and research for cancers "down there!"
